The words "theme park" are pretty much linked with Orlando. Orlando isn't the first home of the very first theme park, but Orlando has definitely perfected the art. The degree of diversification of theme parks in Orlando is unbeaten, which likely explains why millions of families vacation there each year.

Walt Disney World

With four parks, a lot of places to stay and hundreds of fine and casual options Disney World is the granddaddy of all Orlando theme parks. No other amusement parks in the city of Orlando, or anyplace else for what it's worth, can compare to the blend of fantasy, excitement and nostalgia that a vacation to this Disney utopia evokes. With thrill rides like Test Track and rides that are good for the small ones like It's a Small World Disney World has something for all visitors. Combine it with tons of live entertainment and parades and this is one memorable family trip.

Universal Studios Orlando

Considered a good destination for thrill-seeking roller-coaster riders, Universal Studios boasts two great parks. One is devoted to fantasy and wizardry with areas dedicated to comic books, and fantasy themes. The second one is all about the popular motion pictures with popular attractions including rides built around the favorite film series like Men in Black and The Mummy. The resort also has hotels and restaurants available in and around the parks.

SeaWorld Orlando

No article about theme parks in Orlando could be complete without mentioning of SeaWorld. This destination is a thrilling mix of shows, rides and education. Get personal with both sharks and whales or laugh at the antics of the sea lions. This is a gorgeous park that offers areas of respite for family members who are worn out with rides. It's a little quieter, a little tamer and a very memorable experience that expoes guests to all sorts of aquatic life, much of which the public hgas never seen before. Of the amusement parks in Orlando this is one of the more sophisticated, but it still offers lots of entertainment for the younger members of the group. The chance to interact with stingrays and dolphins is an experience that can't be missed!

Wet 'n Wild Orlando

No question about it, the weather in Orlando is hot. It's the reason why many travelers come here, but sometimes it's sweet to escape the heat. Here's where Orlando water parks come in handy. Disney World and SeaWorld both have versions of the water park, but locals might say that the best example is at Wet 'n Wild. Locals know that Orlando water parks have a great reputation for really trying to outshine each other and offer features that cater to all ages. Some attractions are made for single riders while others welcome whole parties to experience the attraction together. Plus some attractions are engineered to relax while others will set hearts racing. There are even specific milder attractions made for children. It all makes for the classic sun and water doused day.
