Hawaii - A must see destination

By Calvin Quinten

If there's any place in this beautiful world you need to visit before the 'ole ticker's time is up Hawaii is that place. Whether you're bringing the family, celebrating a romantic anniversary or on a honeymoon Hawaii is sure to satisfy the greatest of adventure appetites and peaceful desires. With literally hundreds of things to see and do on the islands you will never be bored and will always hunger for more.

Hawaii is the perfect tropical getaway without the need for passports, without the need for currency exchange, and without the fear of crime or violence. Instead what you will find is a tropical destination full of hospitality and local charm. There are many islands to explore but the heart of Hawaii is made up of the main islands of Hawaii (the Big Island), Oahu, Maui, and Kauai.

Kauai, my favorite island, is known as the Garden Isle. Recognized for it's tropical landscape, beautiful flowers and mesmerizing beaches, Kauai is the perfect island for a honeymoon or romantic getaway. With numerous activities to indulge in it's also a great place for a family vacation. Kauai boasts a smaller population and tends to feel less crowded further enhancing a peaceful stay.

Oahu is the most populated of the islands, largely due to the military population of Pearl Harbor, but don't let that distract you. Oahu has plenty to offer including the famous Waikiki Beach, boasting Hawaii's popular night life. Don't find yourself focused on just Waikiki however; make sure you check out the rest of the island.

The Big Island of Hawaii is host to 11 different climate zones making it an interesting and diverse place to visit. It is also home to some of Hawaii's most famous volcanoes including Kilauea, the world's most active volcano. It's also home to several of Hawaii's most beautiful valleys which are excellent for hikers.

With its unparalelled beaches Maui has long been the ultimate island paradise. Maui is considered one of the world's best islands boasting many of Hawaii's luxury resorts. There is also the Maui landscape, beautiful and breathtaking, which isn't found on the other islands. There are several historic towns to visit on the island displaying the ancient Hawaii culture.

There are really only two seasons in Hawaii, wet (winter) and dry (summer). The weather in Hawaii is usually beautifully tropical, but less extreme than its tropical island counterparts. The temperatures are always comfortable, upper 80's during the day and mid 70's at night during the summer, low to mid 80's and seldom dipping below the mid 60's at night during the winter.

Hawaii is a must do vacation for everyone, including singles, couples, and families. If you're looking for relaxation, adventure, or romance, you will find it all. Don't hesitate, just go for it! I promise you will be glad you did.
