5 Important Tips For Family Travel

By Randall Cox

When it comes to traveling, safety is a must. A mix of common sense and technology can keep you and your family safe during travel.

Pack the right items. When you're leaving for a trip, it's important to pack a lot more than just clothes and sunblock. Always make sure to have your cell phone and charger with you at all times, and make sure the battery is fully charged before you leave home. This will allow you to remain connected no matter where you are.

Don't carry a lot of cash. When traveling, it's never a good idea to carry large amounts of cash. Instead, carrying at least one credit card will help to ensure that you are protected against theft. Should your credit card be stolen, you can report it immediately. For this reason, it's important that you carry a list of telephone numbers for your credit card issuer(s) so that you can contact them immediately. This information should be kept separate from your wallet so that it will still be in your possession even if your card is not.

Keep connected. Always make sure to let a friend or family member know where you are going and where you will be staying during your time away from home. Give them a call when you reach your destination. It's also a good idea to keep in touch occasionally while you are away, and always leave a telephone number where you can be reached.

Have a list of important numbers. Before you leave, make a list of local emergency numbers, taxi services, and any other service you might need on your travel. You can easily find these numbers online, or you can compile a list when you arrive.

Do your homework. It is wonderful to explore new places when you travel, but you should always focus on safety. Get a map of the place you will be in. Call a few weeks before you leave on your trip, and they might even send it to you in the mail. It will be very helpful to know where you are going when you get there. Do not venture out to places you know nothing about, and stay away from deserted or dark areas.

As long as you play safe, you and your family can have a vacation you will remember for years to come.

Black Hills Mk262 High Performance Round

By Thelma Kent

Hunting has been a favourite pastime of man since the beginning of time. While the earliest records show that man hunted animals for food and for hides to make into clothing or turn into useful shelters, there has also clearly been evidence that man hunted for sport. The thrill of lining up a shot with a bow or a gun makes a person feel powerful. Using specialty rifles and gearing them with Black Hills Mk262 ammo makes the kill almost guaranteed.

While it's true that hunting has been a method of providing food as well as hides for other important things like clothing and shelter, it's also been a sport for just as long. It's a fact that historically, during times when people had enough to eat and didn't have to labour extra hard, they turned to sporting activities. Seeking to hunt and kill dangerous animals is one of those leisurely pursuits.

There are surprisingly many animals people may not realize were hunted as sport. Some of these include small animals foxes. Fox hunts were a practice of the nobility that involved a large hunting party, a pack of dogs and many horses. Fox hunts were tradition and still are for many people, though they are often considered unfair and inhumane.

The more dangerous a creature was for hunting, the more prestige a man could feel when he made the kill. Wild boar are in reality one of the harder animals to kill, looking nothing like their seemingly docile cousin, the domestic pig. In a fight, boar are aggressive and startingly courageous, and they have been credited with killing kings right alongside experienced hunting dogs. Like lions, they were historically a great animal for sport hunting.

Guns replaced bows and spears in hunting almost as soon as they became part of war tactics. People may not realize that game and sport hunting were actually a way to practice the art of war in times when there was no human enemy. Because of this, ammo manufacturers continue to have an ongoing and secure consumer base. Black Hills Ammunition is one of the more well known providers of ammo for the U. S. Military, but they also provide specialty bullets for single shot guns that can't be found elsewhere.

The accuracy of the Black Hills Mk262 is world known. This type of round provides excellent wounding capability, and so long as someone can line up a shot, they're almost guaranteed to make the kill. Because specialty rifles are used in so many different fields, it's important that they be equipped with the right ammo for the job.
